SketchUp Brainstorming

SketchUp Brainstorming

I like to use SkethUp as a brainstorming tool since I can produce fast mock ups as well as detailed renders in a short amount of time.

Overall Site Plan

Overall Site Plan

Shows the connection between the proposed center and the bike/skate rental shop. Additional proposal included the renewal of an adjacent restaurant and parking lot.

Final Model

Final Model

Utilized the laser cutter to produce the final model. (Chipboard and bristol for model, CNC particle board for topography)

Plaza Rendering

Plaza Rendering

Perspective from the parking lot entry. Shows open direct access to bike/rental shop, the proposed pavilion design for the existing restaurant, and the community center in the background with easy access to the trail that traverses in front.

Existing Loading Docks

Existing Loading Docks

Proposed to keep the docks used for loading/unloading equipment off trains as part of a new skatepark for the community.

Vision Sketch

Vision Sketch

Used the photo taken of the loading docks to produce a quick prisma marker sketch to make the park come alive.

East Section

Shows the skatepark and the connection to the original building which is the central part of the new structure.

West Section

West Section

Diagrams the natural light as the roof collects energy using solar panels for water heating or other electrical needs. Also shows the upper outdoor terrace and overhang for the bike trail that passes to the south of the building.
